Save Souderton Coalition hosts Character Counts Rally to demand Director William Formica’s Resignation
Souderton Area for All, a member of the nonpartisan Save Souderton Coalition, is hosting the Character Counts Rally at 6 PM on August 29th, prior to the August Souderton Area School Board Action Meeting at Indian Valley Middle School. The Coalition is demanding the immediate resignation of School Director Formica from the Board. Mr. Formica has repeatedly posted racist, sexist, xenophobic and homophobic content on various social media platforms including X (formerly known as Twitter) and Truth Social. He issued a formal “apology” via email through the District’s email distribution list. In this communication, he minimized the seriousness of his behavior, only addressed one lewd social media post disparaging the Vice President of the United States, dismissed concerns of community stakeholders with the exception of “his supporters”, and blamed social media for the content he posted, shared and liked.
