LGBTQ+ Youth Forum

April 8, 2022, 7:oo-8:30 PM

Indian Valley Public Library, 100 East Church Road, Telford, PA 18969

Souderton Area for All is hosting a community forum for LGBTQ+ youth, their friends and allies, and parents to discuss the recent rise in anti-LGBTQ policies that jeopardize the safety and wellbeing of children in our community. From attempts to ban books that center on LGBTQ+ stories and characters to policies like Florida's "Don't say gay" bill, LGBTQ+ youth and their families are living in an increasingly hostile environment today. We want to hear your concerns, talk about how the community can support you and how we can work together to ensure LGBTQ+ youth and their families flourish and thrive in the Souderton area.

Here are the details:

  • This will be a facilitated discussion in which participants will be invited to share their thoughts, concerns and ideas.
  • Local LGBTQ+ advocates and organizations have been invited to attend. Additional information about local resources for LGBTQ+ youth and their families will be available.
  • This forum will not be recorded or livestreamed to preserve the privacy of those who attend.
  • No one is required to speak. You can just come and listen if you're not comfortable speaking.
